Not much stalling potential, does best when everybody else is distracted and is able to get one away from the team but even then damage is too low. Doesn't really feel too strong to me despite some of his strengths, arguably a low B Tier but I put in C anyway.ĭ - Jockey: Worst in the game has smaller hitbox, good speed, and can do some setups with ledge/window/car alarm but very weak M1 and 95% absolutely needs backup of his team. Not that great on his own.Ĭ - Hunter: Good movement, can spawn in game without making any noise (unless he crouches) can kill pretty quickly but not that great of health so he's easy to get rid of he usually needs backup or needs a survivor to be on his own. His tongue has good reach, allows for pulls off ledges/windows and onto cars w/ alarms, some setups with Charger, but he is pretty reliant on team attacks. Smoker: Has okay health, quite slow, his ability isn't the greatest but it's not the worst. Main issue is that she is reliant on the other special infected to land a hit. She can also stall the survivors by spitting on downed players forcing them to wait longer. the spitter can spit and take 25 damage and turn it into a down. Charge hits someone, hunter pounces, etc. Is able to multiply damage setup by other special infected. Works well with others and on his own.ī - Spitter: The downsides are meh health, slow but the best support infected in the game by far (not that great on her own). Hard to find downsides really I think the only thing is he doesn't have as strong of a core ability as Tank or Boomer but even that's debatable. If Special Infected didn't have Boomer it'd be a whole different ballpark VS survivors.Ī - Charger: The only Special Infected aside from Tank that can't be bashed, decent health, knocks back and stuns additional survivors after he's charged the first, good for setting up a boom or spit combo, has many insta-kill setups. Debatable he could be either S or A tier in my book but his core ability is stupid strong. Makes survivors think twice about utilizing bile. His ability makes up for his downsides and is ridiculous his boom blinds survivors, has a horde attack which is a huge help for the team and if he explodes he can boom people near him and stun them. You can usually overcome speed with rocket boom, bhopping and/or good placement so this leaves health being the biggest downside. This gives special infected more time which means more chances to hit.īoomer: Downsides being low health, short arc, pipe bomb and speed (sort of). Most importantly can halt survivor progress and camp on downed survivors. S - Tank: Has ability to utilize environment objects to insta-down survivors. You guys can let me know if you agree or disagree. Below I'll explain my reasoning for my tier list. To me getting additional time is huge for special infected because it allows for more respawns which in turn allows for more hits. Been a huge fan of Versus so this is my opinion on the tier list.So to me what makes a special infected strong or not is dependant on how adaptable they are in different situations, their damage potential, their ability to stall the game (very important). I've been playing L4D since it first came out.
